These threads are old, but they're still on the frontpage,
so here goes:

It's been done by bots, to some extent. This should really
be a test variant in wich the goal is to convince all parties
involved that you're a normal gamer. The Turing inquisitors try
to spot each other, normal gamers, and bots. All activeities
should be done with the same nickname, at the end of the test,
each nick's true identity is revealed. If someone wanted to play
multiple roles, they should use multiple characters with the
same username (hopefully the Mu* the test is on allows this).
I'm working on an Graphical MUD (I refuse to say/use MMORPG)
progect that'll be a nice testbed, but it's currently pre-alpha.
If you want to imitate gamers, there are some archetypes to
follow. The Social Butterflies are a standard turing test. The
Explorers are kinda unusal to imitate, but something an AI could
definetly do. The Hack and Slash crowd is already botted in
any combat MUD with monsters. Combinging all three aspects in
one bot whould be the ideal test candidate.

I plan to use Alife for the monster encounters and some NPCs in
my GMUD, but it's not implimented yet. Whould you be interested?
My code is cross-platform and portable.
'omfgbot' and 'Swift' look like bots at first glance. The *bot
fellow especially, both the post and the link look like bot
output. This is based only on these two front page posts, and
just me doing a turing examination, not means as an insult.
