I don't really follow you when it comes to the similarities with magic squares when you write "vodoo with numbers I have seen it done with magic squares". You can't do aritmetic or express boolean functions or express some sort of coordinate system with magic squares - least of all do them all in the same discreet system.

You also wrote "it is contrived". Isn't all AL research in some sense "contrived"? Isn't DNA a discreet blueprint with a plan written by evolution?
